READ WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING.

I own the Vapor Fire 200 and have had it in use for 3 winters.  It is not first wood furnace that I have used.  I have had 3 other wood furnaces that I have used in the past 10 years in my basement and gave them all away.   They were called wood furnaces, but they are NO comparison to the Kumma wood furnaces.  They all sent send large amounts of smoke up the chimney and coated the chimney liner with creosote.  Any experienced wood furnace user knows that  with smoke you will have creosote in your chimney flue, especially the portion above the roof line and this can lead to burning embers floating up and out when you have a hot roaring fire.
With the Kuuma you will not have a roaring fire; if you follow the installation instructions, use a barometric damper and not burn only very dry wood.
When I came up to visit the factory, I stopped at church in Stillwater, MN that had two of the Vapor Fire 100 furnaces.  The pastor was from Europe and he told me that the Kuuma operates exactly as most wood furnaces do in Europe.  He showed me the chimney flue and all I saw was wiffs of light brown dust clinging to the flue.  Since I knew from my experience what creosote looks like, I found it hard to believe so I asked him when he had the chimney cleaned.  He said he never had a reason to have it cleaned since they have never had any creosote.  Thinking that maybe they only burned a certain type of wood I asked what him what they burned.  He showed me large logs of all types of wood that get dropped of that they cut, split and dry under tarps and only use split wood dried for 3 years.
When I got to the factory in Tower, MN I found their chimney flue had the same appearance!
(Notice that the website only mentions about getting very little creosote). Compare that!
What makes the Kuuma SO MUCH different is the box with the green, red and 3 yellow LED's that shine forward.  These LED's tell you when the firebox is cold (green), burning too hot (red), getting hotter (3,2,1 yellow) and cooling as the wood is consumed (1,2,3 yellow).  When the 3 yellow LED's come on after the wood is consumed and when only 1 LED is on, is the only time to open the door only wide enough to add wood. This is the only time to open the fire door more than slightly, and not have smoke come out.
The Kuuma burns the wood down to a very fine ash.  The ash rake that comes with the furnace works well. Follow the suggested ash movement between clean outs.  I suggest ordering the filter box.  My wife likes the operation of the Kuuma over the others, mainly because of the LED's lights.
I WILL NOT GIVE AWAY MY KUUMA VAPOR-FIRE 200!

Dear Lamppa Manufacturing Co,

I purchased an electric kuuma sauna stove from you and hauled it back to Naperville, IL.  I Finally finished by 6'X9' sauna and have taken about a half dozen sauna's so far.  I purchased the largest electric stove you make and I am so completely satisfied with your product that I had to write you a letter.  Everything I was told before the purchase was not just a sales pitch hoping I would buy and never return. But, in reality everything I was told concerning the stove has been proven true.

Sincerely,
Another completely satisfied customer!

Dear Sir,

My husband and I purchased one of your sauna stoves this spring as a result of an internet search.  We have had a sauna up at our camp in Maine since purchasing our property in 1985.  The sauna was built before the log cabin!  We have always used "jerry rigged" stoves in the past, and the last one burned out, decided to search for a "real" one.  I am writing to express our utmost satisfaction with your product.  In fact, we are working to learn how to keep it from getting quite so hot in there!  We look forward to seeing how it performs when the colder weather arrives.  My husband is particularly happy about the decreased amount of wood required to get it hot and keep it hot.  All in all,  we are VERY happy with our purchase and look forward to many years of use.  As we are in the building business, we may have a chance to recommend your product, and we will be sure to do it.
Thank you for a wonderful sauna stove.  You told my husband when talked to you that you thought it was the best in the world, really.  We agree!!
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Lamppa,

You have not solicited a testimonial for your Kuuma all electric sauna heater,  but I feel that when a testimonial is deserved it should be given.  The workmanship and functioning of the stove is impeccable.  When I went back to the university after retirement I did a study on quality control.  Your stove meets all the requirements of the high quality standard that the customer deserves.  The installation was easy with no hassle and the operation is as simple as any can be.  Your cool wall design is a real plus.  Keep up the excellent quality.
Sincerely,
