For the past nine months, I’ve been out in the dirt, building this space from the ground up. The journey was both fantastic and challenging, but with the expertise of skilled craftsmen, we reached our vision. I’m incredibly proud of the result. Our goal was to honor the materials and resources, creating something that will last over a hundred years and offer an authentic experience to our community and visitors alike. Every piece of cedar was sourced from our island, and the stone came from local quarries.
When it came to choosing the heart of our sauna, we knew from the start that Lamppa was the right choice. To create something lasting and high-performing, we needed a company that truly understood the essence of sauna – and that was Kuuma by Lamppa. In a time when words like “first” and “authentic” are overused, I believe the experience we’ve created can only be felt, not simply described. Our Kuuma stove was made for our sauna, and our sauna was made for Kuuma.
