First Impressions of the BluFlame
“Firstly, I love my BluFlame! I get tons of comments and compliments on it whenever I have friends over for a sauna sesh. The built-in heat shield on the stove itself is stellar. We are frequently near the side heat shielding and there is no unpleasant radiant heat coming off the sides. I doubt the stove itself really even needs an additional shield, the single-wall stovepipe being a different story of course.”

Handcrafted Design: Built on cement board with cement-based mortar and grout to withstand sauna temperatures and humidity.
Stained Glass Mosaic: Each piece of stained glass was hand-cut and assembled into a vibrant scene depicting a foggy morning sunrise over the local mountains—Badger and Candy Mountain in Eastern Washington.
Durability & Presence: The mosaic weighs nearly 100 pounds, showcasing not just artistry but a serious commitment to longevity in a sauna environment.

Stones with a Story
The heart of any wood-burning sauna stove is the stone. Lance’s choice of sauna rocks is both practical and personal:
Oro Verde Quartz: Sourced locally from a landscape supplier.
Granite Finds: A hand-selected mix of stones collected from nearby mountains.
This combination gives his sauna a rugged, natural touch while ensuring the stones perform well under repeated heating and steam.
