When you invest in a high-mass, American-made product, how it arrives matters just as much as how it’s built.
At Kuuma, we regularly receive compliments from customers, freight carriers, and installers on one often-overlooked part of the process: how our products are crated and shipped. That feedback means a lot to us, because proper crating isn’t an afterthought—it’s part of the product.
High-Mass Requires Thoughtful Shipping
Kuuma’s are heavy, solid, and built to last. That same durability means they cannot be shipped casually. Poor packaging can lead to cosmetic damage, shifted components, or worse—issues that have nothing to do with how the stove was built.
We design our crating process specifically around:
The weight and mass of the stove
Freight handling realities (forklifts, pallet jacks, long transit times)
Protecting both functional and cosmetic surfaces
Our Crating Process, Step by Step
Every Kuuma stove leaves our shop with the same care and consistency:
1. Protective Wrapping
The stove is fully wrapped to protect painted surfaces, hardware, and edges from abrasion and moisture during transit.
2. Secure Bracing
We brace and stabilize the stove so it cannot shift or tip. This is especially important for high-mass appliances moving through freight terminals.
3. Proper Palletization
Each stove is mounted on a solid pallet designed to support the load correctly and allow safe handling from all sides.
4. Final Inspection Before Shipping
Before it leaves our floor, the crate is checked to make sure everything is tight, protected, and ready for the journey.
Why We Take This Seriously
Crating isn’t glamorous, but it reflects how a product is made—and how a company operates.
Pride in craftsmanship includes everything from welding to packaging
When customers tell us their stove arrived in perfect condition—or comment on how well it was packaged—we know the extra effort is worth it.
Built Here. Shipped Right.
From fabrication to final crate, Kuuma stoves are built and prepared in our Minnesota shop by people who care about doing things the right way. The goal is simple: when your Kuuma arrives, the only thing left to do is install it and enjoy it.
If you have questions about shipping, delivery, or installation prep, we’re always happy to help.
